From start to finish, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at Global Backpackers. We stayed in a Queen room with a balcony, which gave us a great view of the Cairns festival Parade and Fireworks. It was quite entertaining to watch people trying to park their cars! This was our second stay at this lovely, fresh place, and we will definitely be back. The top floor terrace was a fantastic spot to relax and observe the world around us, and the walk-in fridge was a clever idea. Global Backpackers offers a quality stay in Cairns without breaking the bank. We want to give a special shoutout to Cara on the front desk, who always had a smile and a friendly greeting for us.

I had a fantastic time here, staying in this place was the best decision I could have made. One of the highlights was the location, just opposite the lagoon. I really enjoyed swimming here, it was a perfect way to start the day. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made sure my room was always clean and equipped with everything I needed like air conditioning, sink, free toiletries and a flat-screen TV. The terrace had amazing garden furniture and free Wi-Fi and the shared kitchen was perfect for self-catering. I couldn't have asked for more from this hotel!

I would definitely recommend this venue to my family and friends. It provided everything I needed and beyond and has no drawbacks.

Loved my Xmas stay! The breakfast may be basic, but the superb location made up for it. Two complementary facts included a spacious dining room and well-equipped kitchen with an amazing view of the beachfront. , the friendly staff made the stay comfortable. Best of all, the location was perfect, with shops, restaurants and a train station all within walking distance.

Disliked the air conditioning; it had no levels of speed or temperature.

The location of this hotel is amazing, right next to the night market and close to everything where I needed to walk to. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, and the hotel facilities were fantastic. The kitchen had amazing equipment and the rooftop chill area had a great view. The staff were all super friendly and helpful.

Additionally, the newly renovated hostel was spotless, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was a bonus, although it was basic. I highly recommend Global Backpackers for a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Cairns.

My roommates were not the cleanest, leaving the ensuite bathroom a mess. It would have been nice to have better storage options in the room for our belongings.

We stayed at Global Backpackers for a few nights and had a great experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and the location was perfect, right on the Esplanade and near restaurants. Our private room was compact but had everything we needed, including a queen bed, ensuite, and a private balcony with great views. Despite being older, we felt comfortable and not out of place in this backpackers. We also loved the spotlessly clean kitchen and the spacious communal area on the 4th floor.

First of all, the complementary breakfast was a nice touch, although not amazing, but it was enough to start the day. the fact that the hotel was located near the main attractions and restaurants was convenient and allowed us to save some money on transportation. the balcony in our room had a great view of the city.

We had a terrible time checking-in, as we arrived late and had to call a number to have someone open the door for us. It was frustrating and felt like a waste of time.
